VitreoRetinal Surgery specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders involving the retina, vitreous and macula.  Conditions commonly evaluated and treated include retinal tears and detachments, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, ocular trauma and tumors, inflammatory ocular conditions, hereditary retinal disease, retinopathy of prematurity and a variety of less common, highly complex disorders of the retina.  Because of the highly specialized nature of services, most patients are referred by other eye care providers and physicians.
